The Bachelor of Operation Theatre Technology (BOTT) is an undergraduate program designed to train students in managing the operation theatre (OT) and ensuring smooth conduct of surgeries and other procedures. This specialized field focuses on the comprehensive understanding and application of technology in the operation theatre, including the handling, maintenance, and care of surgical instruments, anesthesia equipment, and other advanced medical machinery and tools used during surgical procedures. The BOTT is a three-year program, combining theoretical knowledge with practical hands-on training. Students also learn about sterilization procedures, inventory management, and the roles and responsibilities of operation theatre technologists.
